'Aukoerebis' or 'Place of Great Noise', as the Khoi called the Augrabies, is characterised by

the distinctive rocky formations which have also lent the area names such as Moon Rock.

These rolling forms are eloquently captured in Krige's 'Augrabies Falls'.
